Matthew (Matt) Russell is an emerging American artist. His art has been collected throughout the United States by private collectors. His work as a photographer started with wildlife and he has since emerged into a black and white photographer of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem (GYE) for the past 12 years. The GYE known for grand landscapes and historic places, Matt tries to capture in his photographs tone, texture and quiet presence in his photographs. Leaving the viewer with engagement of the GYE and the stories his photographs tell.
The collection of photographs showcased in his portfolio, are a mixture of both digital and analog. Matt prefers to capture his subjects by traditional black and white film when possible. All prints are for sale, even if you don’t see the print you desire in my store, there is a technical problem with Square Space’s software and I am unable to post square or vertical formats. So please feel free to contact me about any order you may wish to place. Matt offers both open edition prints and limited edition prints, to suit the desires of his collectors.
